Infinity Nikki 5-Star Colors (Glow up and Evolutions)

Since the 1.5 update [Bubble Season], Infinity Nikki introduced the glow up mechanic. If you get one piece of a 5-star or a 4-star, you can glow it up using materials like bubbles and threads in order to get an alternative piece with other colors. It’s a free way to get more color options, so it’s a pretty nice system! But in reality, we’ve seen a lot of ugly glow up versions, like the infamous “piss yellow” color. Because it’s usually a version that dyes better than the base version, it usually ends up being a light color like yellow. But is it really the case that often?

I decided to investigate and organize by Infinity Nikki glow up and types of evolution a list of colors that were most represented by limited 5-star outfits. It was a bit hard to decide what color is a 5-star outfit when it can have multiples, especially in the latest evolution who gets a bit less monochromatic. I decided the color for each suit based on the visual weight they took and how many accessories were in this same color. So it’s up to interpretation and it’s not a perfect system by any means!

It’s always nice to pull for an outfit when the Infinity Nikki glow up is pretty, and I know that the pink glow up and the black first evolution for [Crimson Rhapsody] largely influenced me to pull for the suit! So I thought it would be a good idea to make this article to really understand what colors have the most chance to be used in a glow up version.

All the limited-banner 5-star outfits from 1.x and 2.x are listed together. I don’t know if it was the most organized way to do it, so please let me know!

Observations from 1.0 to 1.11 5-stars outfits

I thought that pink was a quite rare glow up color, turns out it’s the most common one with green and blue! What is surprising too is that yellow is actually one of the rarest colors for glow up in 1.x 5-star limited outfits, and is actually most common in the 2nd evolution. The rarest color seems to be purple, which you mostly get from the 3rd evolution.

In the other category, I put the orange, white and rainbow evolutions. I’m actually surprised we only got one orange evolution which is [Clouded Loong], because I think it would be a more popular option than yellow.

And just for fun, I looked when we got pink hair for Nikki (a true pink, not a beige one!). Sadly, we mostly get it in the 3rd evolution and no glow up has it! So shoutout to [Forever Bond] for giving us pink hair in just the base version.
