A corner of the internet aimed at women
It can be hard to find communities for women on the internet, because the algorithm doesn’t push to the front the content of women. And if you don’t want to engage with social medias, it’s even harder. This blog is an attempt to create a space for women to get news about games that they may enjoy, like cozy games, otome games and so on. This blog cannot represent the taste of every woman of course, and it may feel a bit “stereotypical” to focus on romance games and casual games. But it’s also what I personnally enjoy and want to focus on.
An alternative to social medias
I’m not really found of the state of internet right now. The algorithm has shaped how we communicate and create on social medias to maximize attention retation and emotional engagement. It’s relentless, and informations are quickly thrown around successively and it all becomes a muddle. Thanks to this blog, you can find information structured with tags and categories, with no infinite scrolling and other annoying features of social medias!
A little project of my own
For years I’ve been the silent viewer of YouTube channels, the person who’s too scared to express her opinion on a post… So having a blog is a big thing for me, and it’s still nerve-racking even at my small scale! It’s a creative project, but also a challenge for myself to share my opinions if I post a review, or my taste if I decide to relay a news about a specific game. It’s an even bigger challenge since english isn’t my main language! I’m actually french!

What does the title of the blog means? I wanted to use some broken english since I thought it would be cute and original! So “Berry” is supposed to be “Very”. Very Fangirl Mode conveys the obsessiveness you may feel when you enter what I call the “Fangirl Mode”. When nothing seems more important than your beloved fictionnal character, this new show you’ve been obsessed with… It’s a fun experience that we all search for I believe, striving to find this new hidden gem that will hook us! When I write, I try to wake up this inner fangirl in me and as for you the readers, I hope that this blog will ignite it!
