Sunblink has announced its first expansion for Hello Kitty Island Adventure called [Wheatflour Wonderland]. It will be available to purchase on Nintendo Switch and Steam September 18 for $14.99. For the PS5 players, it will be due a bit later, on October 2. For Apple Arcade users, the DLC will be free.

Here’s a breakdown of what’s to come:

• New Friends – Cogimyun, the adorable wheatflour fairy first introduced by Sanrio in 2015, joins the island adventure. Cogimyun offers an unprecedented 35 levels of friendship that unlock new quests, new abilities, and a unique furniture set just for her. Plus, befriend Ebi Fry and Cogimyun’s brother Cogimyon, who unlock new mini-games where you can earn themed furniture and other prizes.
• Fantastic Wands – Players can create and customize their very own magic wands to cast magic and transform into critters and items. Plus, new wands open the way to new puzzles and challenges; craft them all by finding gemstones and Jemmies throughout the land.
• Magical Heroes, Assemble – Uncover tons of new outfits and accessories befitting magical heroes. With your friends assembled, transform into the Wheatflour Guardians of legend to help Cogimyun realize her dreams!
• So Much to Explore – Find collectible Wheathearts around the world by using magic, solving environmental puzzles, and unearthing secrets. Exchange them at the Wheatheart Tree for themed rewards.
• Slurp Up New Foods – Find Noodle Grass in Wheatflour Wonderland to craft new, noodle-based foods like instant ramen, spaghetti with meatballs and more.

For every players who own the base game, there’s also a free Content Update scheduled for September 18. This update will bring players on Switch and PC up to date with the version 2.8 on Apple Arcade.

Sunblink clarified in a Q&A hosted on their Discord channel that new players or ones who haven’t completed the main story yet can still buy and enjoy the DLC as its content is available really early on.
