A lot of new animes are releasing each season, and it can be hard to decide on what to watch and which streaming platform to choose from. So here is a selection of girly japanese anime available in Spring 2025 with love stories, hot idols, magical girls and much more!
The Gorilla God’s Go-To Girl
Gorilla no Kami kara Kago sareta Reijou wa Ouritsu Kishidan de Kawaigarareru

Studio: Kachigarasu
Source: Web manga
Episodes: 12 episodes
Streaming service: Crunchyroll
In this world, 16-year-olds receive blessings from various animal gods. The timid count’s daughter Sofia Leela is rumored to be quite strong, having received the blessing from the “Gorilla God.” Although she wants a peaceful life, people seek her out due to immense power. Ultimately, she is scouted by the royal knights. The promising young knights intently follow Sofia, the strongest girl.
The Gorilla God’s Go-To Girl is originally a web manga written by Shirohi and drawn by Kamisu Mika. It has eight volumes and finished its serialization in early 2026. As you can tell from the title and the synopsis, it is a pure comedy set in a fantasy world with some romance sprinkled there. It’s nice to see strong female characters, and Sofia could be one of the strongest heroine with her blessing of the Gorilla God. She may see it as a curse in the beginning, but since joining the royal knights her power sets her up apart from others and help her get the attention of cute ikemen who still want to defend her from bullies or threats.
Anne Shirley

Studio: The Answer Studio
Source: Novel
Episodes: 24 episodes
Streaming service: Crunchyroll
Eleven-year-old orphan Anne Shirley has spent her life moving from one family to another, always hoping to find a place where she truly belongs. When she is sent to live with elderly siblings Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert at Green Gables, a quiet farm in the town of Avonlea, it is quickly revealed that she is there by mistake. Having expected a boy able to help out with farm work, the Cuthberts are surprised to instead receive a young girl with a vivid imagination and a flair for the dramatic.
Believe it or not, Anne Shirley isn’t the first anime adaptation of the eponym novel written by Lucy Maud Montgomery in the early 20th century. An anime was already made in 1979 with 50 episodes called Akage no Anne. If you want a cozy watch, then Anne Shirley is the perfect fit for you. Evenmoreso if you’ve already seen the Netflix adaptation or have read the books.
Princession Orchestra

Studio: SILVER LINK.
Source: Original
Episodes: 42 episodes
The anime takes place in Alicepia, which is a mysterious country that has existed since ancient times. The inhabitants of Alicepia, the Alicepians, are a fun-loving people, but one day mysterious monsters called Jamaock appeared to threaten the peace of Alicepia. The story follows a trio of “princesses” who never forget the song in their hearts, even when facing such danger and step up to save the day with the power of music.
Magical girl is a beloved genre which isn’t afraid to experiment from time to time. Princession Orchestra adds a spin on the genre with magical girls who are also idols. This is a new project made by the two creators behind Symphogear: Akifumi Kaneko and Noriyasu Agematsu. Contrary to their previous work, Princession Orchestra is made for both kids and adults with minimal fanservice.
The Too-Perfect Saint: Tossed Aside by My Fiancé and Sold To Another Kingdom

Episodes: 12 episodes
Streaming service: Crunchyroll
Philia’s family has produced saints for generations. It’s no surprise that she’s known as the greatest saint of all time—and set to marry the second prince, Julius. What no one expects is for Julius to call off the engagement, claiming that Philia’s perfection makes her charmless and unlikable.
To add insult to injury, Philia is packed off to a neighboring country in exchange for gold and resources, forcing her to leave her homeland! Despite bracing herself for mistreatment, Philia finds a warm welcome in her new town, where she puts her saintly abilities to good use erecting barriers against monsters and curing epidemics. But even as she flourishes in her new life, her homeland is under threat of destruction!
With a title this long, you might think that The Too-Perfect Saint is an otome-isekai and you’ll be correct! The manga adaptation drawn by Ayakita Mago is popular in Japan where it topped the Oricon chart multiple times. Yet again, another super strong heroine but this time, it seems to create problems.

The rumors put blame on a “witch’s curse,” the nearby villagers’ firm belief based on old folklore.
The famous manga Black Butler by Yana Toboso is still thriving in popularity with this fifth season anime adaptation.

A japanese novel adaptation into an anime isn’t common, which sets The Dinner Table Detective apart from other animes airing this season.

Himitsu no AiPri: Ring-hen is the second season of the franchise. Yet again another weird adaptation, since this is originally a dress-up rhythm arcade game made by the company syn Sophia. The same studio that created Style Savy!

Once Upon a Witch’s Death looks promissing and unexpectedly joyful from the promotional video despite its title and sad synopsis.

CLASSIC★STARS

Studio: Platinum Vision
Source: Original
Episodes: 13 episodes
Streaming service: Crunchyroll
The anime CLASSIC★STARS takes place at Gloria Private Academy, where rising stars in the music, arts, and sports field gather. In the school’s music department, the “Gift” of famous musicians of the past are implanted into the bodies of compatible students who can match their talent, and those students are then called by the names of those past masters. The anime focuses on Beethoven, who finds that he is compatible with Beethoven’s “Gift,” and is admitted to the school.
Not sure who’s the target audience for CLASSIC★STARS because I can’t think of any demographic that was waiting for Beethoven to make his debut in a idol group. Then again, Bungo Stray Dogs also made cute-boy-versions of dead authors and it’s really popular!
