NITRO CHiRAL’s BL adventure game Togainu no Chi: True Blood has arrived on Steam! Framed for a crime he didn’t commit, the protagonist, Akira, is forced to enter a deadly game in a sealed-off city. A clash of intense emotions and hidden truths begins to reshape Akira’s fate…
Not to be confused with the base game Togainu no Chi ~Lost Blood~, True Blood NITRO ARCHIVE is a the port of the PS2 game True Blood with some graphical enhancements. Compared to Lost Blood, you’ll get the new love interest Yukihito along with 16:9 visuals rendered in full HD, better suited for 1920×1080 screens.
Lost Blood is sold for $19.99 and often drops at $9.99 during sales, while True Blood is priced at $29.99 or $20.99 once discounted. Unfortunately, there is no special offer for those who already own the base game.
If it’s your first time playing the game, I would advise you to get the latest version although the base game has its charm despite the low resolution. Since it’s an old title that came out more than 20 years ago, the originals graphics actually adds a certain charm and make you feel like you used a time machine to get back to the early 2000’s. With the higher resolution, it can emphasize how old the game really is and how bare some of the CGs are.
On another topic, I’m kind of pissed that they locked Yukihito in this game because visually he was the one who appealed to me the most! Keep in mind that his route might be lackluster since he doesn’t even appear in any of the other routes.
